Calasparra is a small, traditional town set in the heart of rural Spain. It is noted as being one of the most therapeutic areas in which to live in Europe. Calasparra is adjacent to the Segura River Valley and close to the Cazorla Mountain Range, a place of natural beauty and environmental resources.
Experience a different way of life, where time passes slowly and there are many opportunities for relaxation and leisure. Discover nature in its purest form, enjoy forests full of Ash, Popular and Willow trees which are the habitat of several species of animals and birds. Participate in local culture and traditions such as the annual Bull Run in September or one of the many other fiestas held throughout the year. Places nearby which are noted for their natural beauty are the River Forest of Canaverosa, the San Miguel Mountain Range, the Almadenes Canon and the Quipar, Almadenes, Argos and Cenajo Reservoirs. These are popular areas to spend the day and explore the area. Take a picnic, maybe do a little fishing, rambling, cycling or even an overnight camp.

Used by the worlds top chefs and sold in only a few selected stores around the world, including Harrods of London.

The first week in September each year is the Calasparra Fiesta. The bulls are run through the streets daily starting at 10am then everyone wanders around the town meeting up with friends. There are street stalls and dancing, a wide variety of entertainment is provided by the town council which goes on throughout the day with Parades and fancy dress going on into the night. The whole town just parties, the atmosphere is wonderful and you cannot be anything but happy as you are simply just not allowed to be.
